Stage nine: Inverness to Berwick-upon-Tweed - 472 miles

Journey with us through the final stretches of Scotland, as we walk from Inverness to the English border at Berwick-upon-Tweed. This stage marks a significant transition, bringing us closer to the culmination of an incredible journey.

Back to civilisation and England

The return to civilisation and crossing back into England made this stage particularly memorable. After miles of rugged Scottish coastline, the shift in landscape and atmosphere was a notable highlight. It's a truly unique feeling to walk back into a familiar land after such an epic journey.

Flatter paths and iconic landmarks

This stage stands out for its flatter terrain compared to some of the more challenging earlier sections. We journeyed past the major ports of the North Sea, and through the incredibly pretty harbour town of Stonehaven. The iconic Tay Bridge provided a magnificent crossing, and we even walked past the legendary St. Andrews golf course. Finally, the vibrant city of Edinburgh marked a significant point before our eventual arrival at the English border.

Inspiring the final push

It is my hope that this stage inspires you, just as it inspired me for the final section to London. The anticipation of completing such an monumental journey, combined with the stunning scenery and significant milestones, fuels the spirit. May you find your own inspiration for your next great adventure.
