MY WALKS RULES -
In England and Wales use the nearest right of way to the coastline, be it path or road. Legally you can walk below the high tide mark.
In Scotland. you can walk anywhere once, so can hug the coastline more fully.
Walk up all estuaries and use the first normal road bridge - no motorway bridge and use no ferries, all must be done on foot.
Walk clockwise around the coast, keeping the sea on your left. Anti-clockwise is the "devil's" way!
